New Immigration Resolution in Colombia (6045)
As of December 15th, 2017, the new immigration resolution (6045) entered into force in Colombia. This new regulation led changes in the visa categories issued for foreign nationals within the country, the requirements for obtaining those visas and in some cases, the validity.
This is why LARM Colombia, in its constant commitment to keep its clients always informed in a timely manner, offered a breakfast event for them on November 22nd 2017, with the support of Migración Colombia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the main objective of making known by first-hand the changes generated in the current immigration regulations and possible impacts on the operation of companies that use foreign personnel for their daily operation.
On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we were accompanied by Dr. Henry Camargo, Coordinator of the Internal Working Group on Visas, whom explained to our clients the new visa categories that will apply to foreigners, providing Q&A opportunities for our clients, where they could clear specific doubts about their needs for their employees.
Likewise, Dr. Cesar Russi accompanied us on behalf of Migración Colombia, who explained in detail the impact of the new immigration resolution for the services provided by this entity, as well as information about the reports on the SIRE platform and general information on immigration rates in the country.
At the end of the event, we had the opportunity to share with our clients and the representatives of the mentioned entities, a very productive networking space, which was very well received by the participants.
We hope to continue creating these types of activities, in which we get closer to our customers and allow us to continue being their strategic allies when it comes to relocation needs.
