Canaima es un parque de 12.000 km2 situado en la regi\u00f3n meridional de Venezuela. Fue declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO.<\/p>\n\n

Aqu\u00ed, las sabanas onduladas, los palmerales de moriche, los bosques monta\u00f1osos y los densos bosques fluviales se unen a escarpados acantilados que caen desde asombrosas mesetas de cima plana llamadas tepuis.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Alberga el Salto \u00c1ngel, la catarata m\u00e1s alta del mundo\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

La zona inspir\u00f3 la novela de Sir Arthur Conan Doyle \"El mundo perdido\", repleta de dinosaurios, que m\u00e1s tarde sirvi\u00f3 de inspiraci\u00f3n al escritor Michael Crichton para escribir \"Parque Jur\u00e1sico\".<\/p>\n\n
